...Imparting Prayer Fire, Transforming the World

Jehovah Shalom simply means the God of peace or the God who gives peace. This is one of the best known covenant names of God.

Shalom is Hebrew word for peace and is more than cessation of hostilities. It denotes wholeness in every part of life. Spiritual well being, mental and emotional stability, physical health, economic and material prosperity and social harmony.

And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the Lord, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord God! for because I have seen an angel of the Lord face to face. And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die. Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites (Judg 6:22-24 KJV).

From the passage of scripture above, Jehovah Shalom is the name of the altar Gideon built in the place of his encounter with Jehovah who said to him, “Peace unto thee”. Therefore, Jehovah Shalom has become associated with God's covenant name for peace. Throughout all ages, the Hebrew people and other people of faith have engaged and invoked this holy name in their prayers, especially in times of tumults, storms, tribulations and during other vicititudes of life. Jehovah Shalom still works wonders today. The prayers in this prayer bulletin have been specially crafted to engage various powerful and precious covenant names of God in prayer over our present challenges in Nigeria. Through these daily prophetic declarations, we are trusting God to establish His reign of peace and harmony over the nation Nigeria in all our geopolitical zones. We are hereby marshalling the angels of Jehovah Shalom to take hold of the present, future, and eternal destiny of Nigeria. We are decreeing that Jehovah Shalom will supervise the 2015 elections and that His peace will attend to the nation before, during, and after the elections. He will forever silence the contrary wind blowing against the ship of our nation, saying: “Peace be still”.
